Common Concerns We Can Help With
General medical visits can be a good fit for concerns such as: • Common illnesses and mild symptoms • Mild respiratory symptoms • Headaches, when appropriate • Minor stomach concerns • General health questions • Medication follow-up, where appropriate • Other non-emergency concerns appropriate for telehealth Not every condition can be evaluated remotely. A Level Up provider can evaluate your symptoms and determine appropriate next steps.
What a Virtual Visit May Include
During your visit, your provider will typically ask about your symptoms, how long you've had them, and your relevant medical history. They may ask you to describe what you're seeing or feeling, and in some cases request a photo. Treatment recommendations depend on your symptoms, medical history, available examination findings, and provider judgment.
What Your Provider May Review
Your provider may review your current symptoms, medical history, current medications and allergies, and any relevant past treatment. Based on that review, they'll discuss appropriate next steps with you, which may include self-care guidance, a prescription where appropriate, or a referral for further evaluation.
When In-Person or Emergency Care May Be Needed
Some conditions may require laboratory testing, imaging, an in-person examination, urgent care, or emergency evaluation. If you have severe pain, difficulty breathing, chest pain, confusion, or any symptom that feels like a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department instead of starting a virtual visit.
Virtual urgent care is not intended for medical emergencies. If you believe you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a virtual visit replace my regular doctor?
A Level Up visit can help with many everyday concerns, but it isn't a replacement for an established primary care relationship or for care that requires an in-person exam, labs, or imaging. Your provider will let you know if in-person follow-up is a better fit.
What happens if my provider can't fully evaluate my concern by video?
Your provider will tell you honestly if your concern needs an in-person exam, testing, or a different level of care, and will help you understand appropriate next steps.
Is this appropriate for a medical emergency?
No. Telehealth is not appropriate for emergencies. If you believe you're experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
